Dispersant Test Kit
The SpillConsult dispersant test kit contains essential equipment you need to conduct a dispersant Quick Effectiveness Test (QET) or Semi-Qualitatative Test (SQT) in the field, including a test report pro-forma. It is the perfect compliment to the Spillconsult Oil Sampling Kit (Available on request).
The kit contains laboratory-quality glassware and scientific equipment, including 12 sample vials, two separation funnels, mixing flasks, thermometer plastic beakers and syringes. The kit is provided with an audit & contents list, as well as complete step-by-step instructional guide to conduct both the Quick Effectiveness Test (QET) and Semi-Qualitatative Test (SQT). 20 pairs of disposable nitrile gloves are included. Additional Personal Protective Equipment (safety eye-wear, aprons and appropriate waste disposal are not included). The kit has reflective Spillconsult livery to improve visibility & road safety, as well as stainless steel hardware and padlock protectors for permanent storage.
The kti is provided in a uniquely designed Ultra High Impact structural copolymer watertight, dust proof, chemically resistant and corrosion proof case for total protection, strength & durability. Split 50/50 between the base and the deep-lid, it opens 180° for maximum anti-roll stability in the offshore environment. The kit has comfortable rubber over-molded handles to allow single or dual handed carriage down gangways.The case is also equipped with double-throw latches, O-ring seal, automatic pressure-equalization-valve.
Product Notice: This kit is not shipped with extraction solvents for the Semi-Qualitative Test as these are classified as dangerous goods, complicating shipping arrangements. Standard clear Mineral Spirit or 100% hydrocarbon Paint Thinner can be readily purchased at most hardware store and paint suppliers. Seawater sampling equipment is also required.
