Incident Management Training

SpillConsult offers a wide range of incident management training for all levels of response personnel, including:-

Most of our courses are based on the Incident Command System (ICS), the most commonly used system in the global energy industry, but we have expertise in all types of incident management systems.

Our team has extensive knowledge and many years experience of applying and teaching incident management and command, so know the challenges involved.

We always deliver training using a variety of highly interactive and flexible methods and relate the teaching to real incidents, often from our own experiences. We utilise simulated scenarios whenever possible as a framework for discussion and learning. These approaches seem to suit the subject and the type of people involved.

All courses and training materials have been developed specifically with the international oil industry in mind and we often develop bespoke courses to suit client’s particular needs and situation.

Longer courses often use our unique synthetic exercise environment, the Komoko Islands, where we can simulate a wide range of realistic incidents. Delegates benefit from a full suite of supporting information including; mapping, imagery, ‘country’ information, modeling data, a national plan, satellite and over-flight data, resource information etc.

We have developed our own Incident Management Handbooks (IMH); one tailored to the energy industry and one for ‘All Hazards’. These are issued to everyone on IMS courses, used during the training and then kept as an essential aide memoir for exercises or incidents.
