The SpillConsult team have been involved with incident management exercises of all sizes for many years. We are very proud of our ability to plan and run realistic exercises that contribute to an organisation's response preparedness.
Our team have experience in running large multi-country, multi-agency exercises with many hundreds of participants; as well as asset specific exercises with less than 20 participants. We are able to provide a full exercise facilitation service or just specific elements such as exercise planning, coaching, evaluation or inject writing.
Notification exercises - to test the immediate response and mobilisation process
Incident Management Team (IMT) initial response exercises - running from the first few hours of an incident into the first 24-hours
IMT transition into proactive response – to develop and test the transition process from reactive (initial) response to proactive (ongoing) response for larger incidents
IMT proactive (ongoing) response exercise – to test the proactive planning capabilities of the IMT from day 2 of a response (in ICS, this is the top of the Planning P)
Equipment deployment exercises – to develop your organisation capability with its Tier 1 equipment
Coordinated table-top and equipment deployment exercises – in addition to the above, this tests the communication between the IMT and the field, providing real time updates
SOSREP exercises – for the five-yearly validation of SOSREP arrangements
ERP/OPEP/OSCP exercises - to specifically roll out and test a new or updated plan
Multi-agency exercises - large scale exercises involving multiple agencies (i.e. government and regulatory bodies and Tier 2/3 providers), such as National Plan exercises
Multi-country exercises – large scale exercises as above, that involve cross-boundary incidents
Multi-day exercises – to test an organisation's emergency response process from initial notification to ongoing (proactive) response
All exercises developed by SpillConsult are bespoke to the organisation and the incident.
