WCMRC Strategic Plans

As you've read about in previous posts, last year SpillConsult was asked by WCMRC to write a number of strategic plans which outline their incident management philosophy and capability.  It's great to see these plans being released and hearing feedback from the team!

The Marine Response Plan is the most recent plan to be launched within WCMRC and, in order to kickstart the feedback process, this week SpillConsult hosted a workshop to introduce the contents of the plan and discuss the priorities and philosophy it outlines.  The central themes of the plan are responding effectively to achieve net-environmental benefit and the importance of communication between teams on the water and supporting functions at the Incident Command Post.</p>

The plan received some great feedback from Directors, Managers and Base Supervisors, all of whom already use the industry best-practice and expertise outlined in the plan to respond to 'oil on the water' spills around the coast of British Columbia.</p>

We're looking forward to doing more later in the year!
