Consulting in Mauritania

Earlier this month two of our consultants, Steve Sleep and Elle Brown, travelled out to Nouakchott, Mauritania. This was following on from the first stage of the project, in which we supplied shoreline response preparedness and storage solutions to their supply base.
The purpose of Steve and Elle’s trip was in order to help one of our key customers develop their oil spill response preparedness and capability ahead of a forthcoming drilling campaign in the region.

Due to the remoteness of the region, it was critical to ensure this scope of work was carried out to the highest of standards. The work involved long days and high temperatures, but the end result was that the equipment was organised and organised in a logical and systemised manner, to aid in a rapid response if required for use in an incident.

Additionally, the SpillConsult Ltd team, in conjunction with the client, took this opportunity to deliver bespoke theoretical and practical training to the local workforce.
