SpillConsult can use their expertise and vast knowledge.

SpillConsult can use their expertise and vast knowledge to design and deliver exercises at any scale, from large, multi-country, multi-agency programmes to focused, asset-specific drills with fewer than 20 participants.

Last month we conducted a four-hour Emergency Response Tabletop Exercise for just five delegates in Aberdeen.

The purpose of the exercise was to:

  • test emergency response arrangements between Operator and Contractor;

  • ensure a robust communication plan and mobilisation procedures;

  • demonstrate effective coordination between teams in Norway and Aberdeen across multiple Incident Management Teams;

  • help the customer ensure their contractors comply with high standards of safety, emergency response and incident management;

  • support continuous improvement for all parties going forward.

Scenarios put participants through responses to an aircraft incident and a protestor incident, clarifying roles and responsibilities — confirming “who does what” in each case.

The customer was very pleased with how the exercise ran; each scenario gave participants practical opportunities to respond to people, environmental, asset and reputational concerns.
