Successful VICP Exercise!

Recently we worked with our customer Western Canada Marine Response Corporation to provide a full-scale exercise with over 70 participants, using our Virtual Incident Command Post (VICP). Working closely with them and other relevant stakeholders, we were able to create a scenario that demonstrated the organisation’s response readiness and capabilities in alignment with their certification requirements.
 
The VICP is an invaluable tool that has helped us to continue delivering training and exercises to our customers throughout the past year. Tailor-made for each client, the VICP provides similar incident management functionalities as you’d expect in a face-to-face exercise, with the same ICS forms and functions that are normally utilised.
 
With participation from 14 different organisations and communities, the exercise helped to develop further relationships between ourselves, our customer and other members of the oil spill response community, increasing oil spill preparedness for the future.
