Multi-Agency Exercise for WCMRC

This week SpillConsult co-ordinated the simulation of a multi-agency joint on-water and Incident Command Post (ICP) exercise for Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC) in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

The one-day exercise was designed to test WCMRC’s ability to respond to a 2,500 tonne oil spill, as part of their Transport Canada certification program. The exercise had over 200 participants in the field and the ICP; and 18 vessels with equipment on the water.

SpillConsult are proud of their continued relationship in supporting WCMRC and the west coast of Canada in their oil spill response preparedness activities.
