Are your staff trained in ICS? Are you prepared for an incident? SpillConsult are running another ICS 300/320 course in Aberdeen this September. The course will run from 4th – 6th September and we have spaces available.

The course is scenario based and takes delegates through the full lifecycle of an incident, from initial response through transition and into an expanded IMT, and will provide delegates with an in‑depth understanding of the key roles and responsibilities within an ICS/IMS structure.

Who Should Attend? Any person who may be required to fill a role as part of an IMT, including operational responders, planners, logistics and communications personnel.

What Will Be Covered? All steps of the process from initial response through to the proactive planning phase and the production of an Incident Action Plan (IAP). By utilising the virtual world of Komoko, realistic scenarios will bring to life the practical challenges faced by the different functions and components of an expanding ICS/IMS structure.

Specific Areas Include:

  • Overview of Command and ICS/IMS structures

  • Incident assessment and situational awareness

  • Incident objectives and operational periods

Course Outline: Day 1: Scenario‑based interactive learning session covering the core features of ICS/IMS and how these support effective response.
Day 2: Scenario‑based, interactive and demonstration‑driven learning on the benefits of ICS/IMS for proactive incident management and coordinated decision making.
Day 3: Scenario continues with all participants taking on IMT roles in a coached tabletop exercise to consolidate learning and practice team coordination.
