RenewableUK Offshore Wind Conference 2026

Consultant, Rachel Davis and Operations Director, Vicki Fuller had a great couple of days at RenewableUK Offshore Wind 2026 in Manchester last week!

Whilst SpillConsult has traditionally worked within the oil and gas sector, over the last 18 months, we've had the opportunity to support several projects across offshore wind, carbon capture and other emerging energy sectors.

Attending Offshore Wind 2026 was therefore a valuable opportunity to meet new people, strengthen existing relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

One of the key takeaways from the event is that, whilst technologies may evolve, many of the principles of emergency preparedness, incident management and crisis response remain the same. The renewables sector can benefit from decades of lessons learned within higher-hazard industries, helping organisations develop robust, scalable and effective preparedness arrangements from the outset.

As the energy transition continues, we're excited to support organisations in building resilience, strengthening incident management capability, and ensuring they are prepared to respond effectively when it matters most.
