Leading with Impact
Building effective incident management capability takes more than theory, it takes practical training, experienced instructors, and the opportunity to learn from others facing similar operational challenges.
SpillConsult’s Doha-based Regional Manager, Richard Hurdley, and experienced trainer, John Halfacre, were back in the classroom last week delivering an Incident Command System (ICS) training course.
SpillConsult’s ICS 300 course runs over three days and gives delegates a practical framework for working as part of an Incident Management Team (IMT) to manage and resolve incidents effectively.
Our course is highly interactive, and we work hard to make the learning experience engaging and practical. A multi-day training course should never be limited to PowerPoint slides and learning material alone.
Before joining SpillConsult, both Richard and John built careers in incident response and incident management: Richard within the oil and gas industry, and John in the UK police service. That first-hand experience adds real value and credibility to their training.
This particular course was delivered to delegates from a range of companies, rather than from a single organisation. That mix brings an added dimension to the training, as delegates share different experiences and perspectives with the class.
Across the region, much of the oil and gas industry follows, or is adopting, ICS. If you would like to learn more about SpillConsult’s ICS training, delivered in the classroom or online, please visit our website:
