Chris Sharp
Notification Centre Operator
Chris graduated from St Andrews University in 2007 where he studied Modern History, International Relations and, believe it or not, won a National Championship playing Inline Hockey.
He moved to Aberdeen to study Journalism as a post-graduate at Robert Gordon University and ended up working as a journalist for local radio station Original 106.
Moving from there into emergency response, Chris was part of the team that founded the Altor Risk Group (now Restrata) 24/7 Emergency Monitoring and Response Service.
Moving from there to Petrofac’s ERSC and DCR, Chris has been part of bp’s emergency response for over a decade.
The only pre-COVID member of the team, Chris helped rebuild, train and mentor the new team during the pandemic and throughout the expansion from focussing on the North Sea to covering global operations, adding a further post-graduate qualification in digital information security from RGU along the way.
In addition to his duties with bp, Chris is heavily involved with OIM and CRO Certification and Major Emergency Management training providers in Aberdeen and Montrose, building a sterling reputation for competence, diligence reliability and innovation.
